How is sales tax calculated?Updated 5 months ago
Sales tax is determined based on the shipping address and is applicable in the following states:
Arizona Arkansas California Colorado District of Columbia Florida Georgia Hawaii Illinois Indiana | Iowa Kentucky Louisiana Maine Maryland Michigan Minnesota Nebraska New York North Carolina | North Dakota Ohio Oklahoma Pennsylvania Texas Utah Virginia Washington Wisconsin |
We closely monitor sales tax requirements and this list is subject to change without notice. Please see checkout for most current tax calculations and eligibility.
Note: Sales tax laws changed on June 21, 2018 when The United States Supreme Court released its decision on the landmark sales tax case, South Dakota v. Wayfair. Prior to this ruling, an online seller only had to collect sales tax from buyers in states where the online seller had a physical presence. By ruling in favor of South Dakota, The Supreme Court has decided physical presence is not required and sales tax requirements have been expanded to other states.
